Rules for Joining Birds of a Feather
You must have a valid E-mail address on your WebRing account at all times. We must have a way to reach you. We sometimes check the emails on our Birds of a Feather and Cockatiel.com rings to see if they are current. If your email bounces back to us, we delete your ring. We figure if the email doesn't work, the site isn't being kept up.  Your site must have content appropriate to the ring you join, not a page of links, or pictures, that includes search engines. Site may NOT contain pop-up ads, if it does you won't be approved. It's just that simple. People find those very annoying. Site content must be family oriented. No hate, no porn, no animal abuse, etc. If we determine your site has this type of content your application will be denied. We reserve the right to refuse your site. We are looking to make our Birds of a Feather and Cockatiel.com rings easy to navigate and interesting . Hey guys, it's not too much to ask, so come and join our friendly ring.


Rules for Code
You must put the code on your page before joining. When you join, the code will be provided for you on the left side under the link 'Navigation Wizard or Get Navigation Code'.  Or it will be sent to you immediately in an email.  We have found that if people wait to put it on, they never do and I end up deleting their rings down the road. This step just saves Birds of a Feather and Cockatiel.com time in the long run.


You must place the code on the registered URL that you joined with. If you use a different URL your site will show up PASS_L which is not acceptable. I do not allow PASS_L sites because it becomes a scavenger hunt for the surfer to find their way back to the original ring.


If you have a site through MSN it will not support JavaScript so you must use the HTML code in order for your site to pass the ring checker.
